Maths Tuition in South London
Expert maths tutoring from Year 1 to GCSE. Small groups, personalised learning, real progress.

Why Maths Tuition Makes a Difference
Maths learning is cumulative — every new concept builds on the one before it. When a child misses or misunderstands a building block, everything that follows becomes harder. This is why so many students start to struggle in maths even when they do well in other subjects.
In a busy classroom, there often isn’t time for a teacher to go back and fill those gaps. Focused, small-group tuition gives your child the time and attention to work through exactly the areas they find difficult — building confidence, fluency, and a genuine understanding of how maths works.
What We Cover
Our maths tuition follows the national curriculum from Year 1 through to GCSE. Your child works on exactly the topics they need, at the right level:
Primary (Year 1–6)
Number and place value, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, measurement, geometry, and problem solving.
Key Stage 3 (Year 7–9)
Algebra, ratio and proportion, equations, graphs, statistics, probability, and more advanced geometry and number work.
GCSE (Year 10–11)
Number, algebra, ratio, geometry, probability, statistics, and exam technique. We prepare students for AQA, Edexcel and OCR exam boards.
Every student starts with a free assessment so we can identify exactly which topics need the most work. From there, your child follows a personalised lesson plan — not a one-size-fits-all approach.
How Lessons Work
Students attend weekly one-hour sessions at their nearest StudyBox centre. Each session is taught in small groups of no more than 3 students per tutor, so your child gets focused, personalised attention every lesson.
Each student has a unique lesson plan based on their school level and learning goals. Tutors work through concepts step by step, using a mix of worked examples, practice exercises, and — for older students — past-paper questions. Goals are set and monitored, with weekly feedback to parents so you always know what your child is working on and how they are progressing.
